The Academy of Warren is requesting proposals for the renovation and build-out of the existing 34,200 SF warehouse area of building A. The renovation will result 13 new classrooms, a new restroom area, a warming kitchen, additional storage and a multi-purpose room.

A copy of the RFP will be available by email at [email protected] by August 19, 2026. A mandatory walk-thru inspection is scheduled for August 27, 2026, at 10:00 am at the School.

All proposals must be submitted no later than 12:00 pm, September 2, 2026. All proposals should be emailed or delivered in a sealed envelope to CS Partners and are clearly marked: “Warehouse Renovation Architectural Services 2026”.

Gleaners mobile food pantry will be at Academy of Warren on Friday, April 17, 2026 from 12:00 PM-1:00 PM. The mobile pantry includes 30 lbs of fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh milk, whole grains and lean proteins. Each family also receives healthy recipes and nutrition information.

Please join us for Parent Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, March 11th, from 4:00-6:00 PM. Please use the sign up sheet below to sign up for a time with your child's(ren) teacher(s).

The Scholastic Book Fair will also be open during conferences, and will be located in the Library.

AOW Re-Enrollment has started! You will need your parent username and password in order to log in. If you have forgotten your login, you must obtain this information in person, in your child's specific grade level office- Elementary (K-2), Upper Elementary (3-6), or Building B (7-8). This information will not be given over the phone.

To re-enroll:

1. Click on the Parent Portal link: https://ps.aow.misd.net/public
2. On the left-hand side, click on 'Forms', then click on 'Enrollment Tab'. This is where the re-enrollment forms will be located.

Mark your calendar! Wednesday, March 5 is Parent Teacher Conferences from 4 to 6 PM. Come out and speak with your child’s teacher about the progress they are making in their studies.

March is Reading Month and the Academy is looking forward to celebrating the vast richness of African American authors and illustrators. We will continue to celebrate our heritage in the month of March. Be sure to join us for our annual Reading Fair on Thursday, March 6 from 4-5:30 PM in the sports dome. There will be music, books, activities, and fun for all! Come out and enjoy!

Attendance is very important for learning. We need your help in making school attendance a major priority. The more we are in school…the more we can learn and grow. Join us in making attendance a top priority at AOW! #aowattendance.

We will have our second parent Hawk Talk on Wednesday, March 12 from 9:30-10:00 AM in the black box theatre. Come out for refreshments and get updates on all the great things happening at the school!

Spring Break is March 24-28. Enjoy a much-needed rest and get ready for the final push to end the year.
